Writer's Block: Film therapy

Are there any movies you watch when you're feeling anxious or depressed? If so, what are they, and what about them calms you down and/or lifts your spirits?

Film therapy.  What a great name for it!  I definitely watch certain movies when I'm down.  My most frequent choice is Jane Eyre, but I sometimes include Pride and Prejudice or Sense & Sensibility.  It's just picking a movie that you can get completely lost in.  Forgetting life for a couple hours.

Sometimes coworkers are ridiculous.
Sometimes they are dumb.
Sometimes they are both those things
Which for me makes lots fun.

Ok that was cheesy, but I guess it rubs off when people around me are dumb.

Official Co-Worker (just something we say) dictionary/encyclopedia:

John Henry - famous signer of the Declaration of Indepence

Procuriously - uncertain; unstable; insecure  (aka precariously)

Prodicument - an unpleasantly difficult, perplexing, or dangerous situation (aka predicament)

No doubt...  no doubt...  more will follow.  I'm seeing a trend with the whole pre- becoming pro- and adding some u's.

Milly's birthday party last night was a big success!  We had special filet dinners (served on Happy Birthday plates) and I even baked them up some dog birthday cake.  mmmm yummy ;-)  Unfortunately she didn't get to open all of her presents because I fell asleep, but she did LOVE her DIAMOND!!!  Oh yes.  Diamond!  She takes after her Mommy.

I love it when people say, "You just gave me a quote a couple weeks ago" when it turns out I gave them a quote in SEPTEMBER! I guess time flies when you're having fun.

Customer: I need you to issue proof of my insurance to ABC Company

Me: Ok, what is their address?

Customer: Fax it to xxx-xxxx

Me: I can fax it, but I have to list a complete address on the certificate.

Customer: Ok no problem. St Petersburg, FL.

Me: I need the complete address.

Customer: Isn't that a complete address? St Petersburg, FL.

Me: No, actually a complete address would have the street number, the street name, the city, state, and zip code...

I'm excited to host our book club meeting tomorrow. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to make for it. I was thinking maybe chocolate fonude? With fluff sandwiches and fruit skewers?

I finished the book last night. 450 pages in 3 days -- and I enjoyed the entire thing (except for the last 5 pages!)

Writer's Block: Toy story

What was your favorite toy when you were a child? Do you still have it? What did it mean to you?

Easy one. My favorite was always Barbie. I had the Barbie house (2 story), the Barbie townhouse (3 story with working elevator), Barbie McDonalds (with drive through order station), etc...

I did keep my favorite Barbie and my favorite Ken, but I got rid of all the rest. There are some poor kids somewhere playing with my collection. Actually, they're probably all in the garbage, because it's been a loooong time since I was a kid. Their heads are surely all ripped off and their clothes are torn and ragged. Barbie the Bag Lady.
